Hey, guys! I got a review!

"This is truly a wonderful story and one not to be missed by anyone who enjoys a poignant tale of desire and love between a shifter and his mate."

*slinks*

And, I found this on my editor's blog for Ap. 23:

This is today’s current bestseller list from today at My Bookstore and More. Six of the ten books on this list are mine. That used to happen a lot in the first year, when I was one of only a few editors, but since we’ve increased our editor numbers, I usually get around 3 or so, but rarely six.

If you’re wondering which they are:

1. The Wallflower by Dana Marie Bell
2. Claiming Their Mate by Paige McKellan
3. Rachel’s Totem by Marie Harte
4. Treasure Hunting by J.B. McDonald
6. Private Maneuvers by Denise A. Agnew
10. Cowgirl Up and Ride by Lorelei James (which spent quite a bit of time at the #1 spot and has been slowly dropping over the past month).

Interesting to note that the #1 book is 1) a brand new author as this is her first ever release and 2) a non-erotic book and 3)It’s only been on sale a little over a week. Same goes for the #4 book.

DUDE. *dances!* You guys rock. :D

Emotional upheavish few days, due in large part to the fact that I THINK I may have torn my other rotator cuff. But, hey, it's not like I have a physical job where I need my arms or anything, right?

Riiiiiiight.

Anyway. I keep talking myself back down out of panic, and I'm hoping I've just STRAINED it. I'll update you next week. :P

In the meantime, the good:
I wrote 4600 words on Tuesday. Mwahaha. This week looked to be crazy work-wise, and yet I've written about 7000 words so far. GO ME! I'll write tomorrow afternoon and a bit on Sunday, and I'll make my ideal 9000 word count! Yay!

In other news: I got home tonight to see no less than FIVE cop cars sitting inside my complex. o.O As I watched a sixth and seventh arrived, and then a firetruck. o.O I have no idea what's going on. And when I left earlier, I thought, "I kind of like crating Lily. She's happier, and I feel better having one dog loose in the apartment when I'm gone." (I don't let them both loose because they PLAY LIKE WHOA and I'm afraid they'll knock over the bird cage and in the ensuing fun kill Bobby. :P)

Yeeaaaaah. >.> Exciting.

Bedtime now. *snugs*

What Is Your Battle Cry?

Zang! Who is that, rampaging along the hotel lobby! It is Jade_Dragoness, hands clutching a thorned whip! She howls vengefully:

"Vengeance and goo flow from my veins! I will bend the enemy to my wicked will!"

Find out!

Oi. I am having a bad day. A very, very bad day. Compounded by the fact that we have to get all this STUFF together by SATURDAY for the various books.

One of the things we're supposed to get together are reviews. Now, many review sites want you to submit a book. I just found this out now, when I looked. Of the ones that don't, my book was reviewed by one and panned. I can't even take an out of context quote. I suppose I should be glad it's going into an anothology and the other book has been getting rave reviews... maybe people will buy it for that. :P

Anyway, if you lovely people will do me a favor and go to the MBaM site (http://www.mybookstoreandmore.com/) and write a review, I'd appreciate it. I don't know for sure if I can use it, but since I kinda got no notice here I'll start the ball rolling and find out... (You'll probably have to log in, but if you bought the book you've already registered. The 'review' button is on the sidebar to the right.)

Really. Bad. Day.

J

**edit: Never mind. Only reviews from review sites and known authors count. :P

Archived for podcast download after the show, it is http://www.kpfk.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2101&Itemid=135.

Found through [info]nute. [info]mike_smith has a BRILLIANT and hilarious post about, let's see, mancaves, batcaves, the BatBelt, and what HE would put in HIS Batbelt here. Go read the post. It is hilarious. It made me cry, I was laughing so hard.

In the meantime, the top ten things I would put in my Batbelt:

10. Cake. What? The joke had to be made!)

9. A zipline. Because, really, everyone needs one of those.

8. Mace. A mini one, of course. Mostly because it would be fun to pull out a small spiked ball.

7. My cellphone. Granted, I already carry it on a band around my leg when I'm riding, but...

6. A Swiss Army Knife. It's like a utility belt all on its own!

5. A leash. Every time I find a stray... >.>

4. A teeny tiny laptop. Like a Blackberry. Mwahaha.

3. Medical tape. Medical tape fixes EVERYTHING.

2. To quote Nute, another utitilty belt! Mwahahaha.

And, finally,

1. A Transformer. That would TOTALLY WORK
